Densha de Go! Taito Pad Support

I picked up one of these a few weeks ago, hoping for some PlayStation 2 support.  I was not disappointed!

This is the Taito HPS-55 (made by Hori).  It's not in the greatest condition as you can see (scratches, classic piss yellow discoloration) but functionally works perfect.  As with any second hand controller I buy, it was torn down and fully cleaned.  Fresh silicon grease applied where needed.  Ok, on with the game list:

MiSTer FPGA iPad Screen

The iPad 3/4 screen is a fantastic option for a MiSTer setup, with a native resolution of 2048x1536.  

As mentioned in a previous post, information on the screen model, driver board, and housing is available here.  However, finding a quality power supply can be a challenge, if you decide to piece your own kit together.  There are a few options recommended by those in the scene.  In particular, I can vouch for this one:

Tri-Mag Specs: Voltage - Output 12V / Current - Output (Max) 2A / Power (Watts) 24 W

You'll then need to pair this with a barrel jack adapter measuring 5.5x2.1 to 3.5x1.35 - you can find these on Amazon.  Now you can enjoy responsive, high resolution gaming on a modern 4:3 screen!

Roland SC-88 VL Capacitor Replacement

 I recently recapped my SC-88 VL.  I was unable to find the capacitor values on the web, so had to identify them all manually on the device itself.  Here is the list:

Make sure you remove the yellow glue / adhesive near the power regulators and the 1000 uF cap - over time it can turn corrosive and eat through the board.  Copious amounts of isopropyl alcohol and a little elbow grease will do the trick.
